The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) have launched a new approach to cannabis reporting that reduces regulatory burden on retailers.
To increase efficiencies and reduce burden, this new, streamlined POS Data Reporting Platform integrates directly with retailers’ in-store POS systems to:
- Automatically collect required reporting data directly from in-store POS systems.
- Send the reporting data to the OCS, who will share it with the AGCO, Statistics Canada and Health Canada to ensure provincial and federal regulatory reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Simplify cannabis reporting requirements and improve data accuracy.
The AGCO Registrar’s Standards for Cannabis Retail Stores have been revised to align with the POS Data Reporting Platform. All Authorized Retailers in Ontario are required to use an in-store POS system that has fully integrated with the new POS Data Reporting Platform. To support retailers who may still need to onboard with an integrated POS Provider, the POS providers in the list below are ready to onboard retailers.
